Sweetly Stevia USA was originally Sweetly Stevia, a UK-based natural sugar-alternative company with top-selling products. In 2019 the company expanded into the US and needed a facelift. That’s where we came in. They were in need of a refreshing logo, natural packaging, and a spiffy website for their new business venture.
Here’s What We Did:
Sweetly Stevia USA was originally Sweetly Stevia, a UK-based natural sugar-alternative company with top-selling products. In 2019 the company expanded into the US and needed a facelift. That’s where we came in. They were in need of a refreshing logo, natural packaging, and a spiffy website for their new business venture.
Here’s What We Did:
While Sweetly Stevia was an already established and well-known brand in the UK, launching in the United States was going to be difficult due to the already saturated industry and narrow target market. Natural and artificial sweeteners and sugar-substitutes are products that individuals and households hold close and are hesitant to change brands.
After a thorough brand and market evaluation we were able to come up with a marketing and distribution plan that would later prove to be successful. We had a strong understanding of who purchases sugar-substitutes and what they were more interested in when choosing a substitute brand. Sweetly Stevia had a far superior product than any other brand on the market. With their patented water-extraction method that left the final product free of chemicals and sugar alcohols, to their naturally sourced ingredients and community farming outreach, Sweetly Stevia had a strong competitive advantage. We believe that successful marketing campaigns only happen if you truly know and back the product or service you’re selling. That’s why every team member here tested Sweetly Stevia in their own households!
We started with a complete overhaul of product packaging, logo redesign, and launched new social media channels for Sweetly Stevia. We focused our marketing and design efforts on the most unique features of Sweetly Stevia, keeping product packaging, social media content, website design, and marketing and sales material simple, with natural and earthy tones, soft gradients, and images that helped tell the story of Sweetly Stevia. They wanted options when it came to distributing and selling their products, so we helped them submit applications to sell on Amazon, Walmart.com, Sears.com, and Etsy. Their new website would serve as an informational hub rather than a selling platform, so while their products are listed, none can be purchased directly off of their website. Keeping things simple and instructional was important to Sweetly Stevia, as they wanted to focus more of their efforts towards building a strong relationship with potential customers within a targeted market. After thorough target market research, we were able to come up with a successful marketing plan from the initial launch to leading up to their one-year anniversary. We laid out trending blog topics, trending recipes, FAQs for sweeteners and sugar-substitutes, and even tested some recipes out ourselves to give honest feedback.
The new Sweetly Stevia logo had to be easily recognizable as its UK brand but needed an updated look with modern elements. At the heart of Sweetly Stevia are a natural process, community involvement, and healthy solutions. That’s why we chose green as the main color for the Sweetly Stevia brand.
Green symbolized Sweetly Stevia’s love of the natural world and made the company more trustworthy in the eyes of potential consumers. The leaves provided a sense of structure and nurturement, letting customers know that Sweetly is a well-established brand that cares about the quality and well-being of its stevia plants and customers.
Natural. Modern. Functional.
Sweetly Stevia originally started with just their natural stevia blends. We worked with them on a packaging design for individual packets of stevia and a 1lb bulk bag that made it easier to use their blends for baking. We went with a mostly green design with lighter green and yellow elements that helped make important information POP. The packets needed to be airtight but still needed to be functional.
After the first year, Sweetly Stevia started looking into how stevia can be used cosmetically. After all, stevia has a history of healing and having a bountiful amount of skin benefits. And so, just in time for the Corona pandemic to hit, Sweetly Stevia launched its Hand Cleanser product, a safe and natural alternative to skin-drying and smelly hand sanitizer. We went with a green bottle (of course) with a white, purple, and green label. An easy-to-use spray cap for anti-leaking and quick-refill made this hand cleanser a hot commodity. Did we mention that the packaging right down to the ink used is environmentally friendly? How cool is that!

Sweelty Stevia needed an equally awesome website to match their new packaging and logo! Our web designers were hard at work creating a layout for an effective and responsive website.
They wanted to showcase their products on the website, but direct customers to Amazon, walmart.com, and other online selling platforms to make their purchases. They didn’t want consumers to think they were “pushing” their products and wanted the site to be informational and fun! We added a recipe database with 2-3 new recipes being added each week, an informational blog with details on company history, company process, and fun tips and tricks for baking with stevia.

The launch of Sweetly Stevia in the United States was a huge success. Their Instagram following skyrocketed and the orders started flowing in. We’ve recently helped Sweetly Stevia launch a new product line, Sweetly Hand Cleanser, which is a hand sanitizer and moisturizer with cosmetic stevia, essential oils, and citriodiol from eucalyptus plants. Sweetly Stevia was also looking to expand its CRM capabilities and so we helped them make the switch to SharpSpring, a marketing and sales automation platform. After a little over 2 years of being in the United States, Sweetly Stevia drastically increased their social media following, earned thousands of loyal customers, and started offering products in bulk for major US companies to test in their products!
"Marketing is enthusiasm transferred to the customer."
